Call Center

As a member of the Call Center team, you’ll handle customer service calls from doctors, nurses, hospitals, and other health care providers. Providing quotes on member eligibility, explaining medical and/or dental benefits, and checking claims status are just a few of the ways you’ll assist our customers.

Clinical

Our Clinical team opportunities include both call center and back office clinical services. The Utilization Management team includes intake and pre-authorization for applicable medical services. The Post Service Clinical Claims Review team will include licensed US and Philippines nurses who will complete a review of pended claims, applying clinical and/or coverage criteria to determine whether such claims should be approved. The First Generation Clinical team are call center positions that include health outreach, prior authorization and case intake.

Applied Health IT

As a member of the Applied Health IT team, you’ll participate in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department, and use various customer technology platforms. You’ll work with various internal business units to better understand business requirements and develop testing plans and support implementations.

  • Nora comes to Legato with a comprehensive government and private sector background to ensure the team’s success. She has government experience as the Undersecretary at the Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines. In the private sector, Nora was the country manager of Headstrong Philippines Inc. for more than 10 years and the site leader at Genpact’s Manila Delivery Center for IT Services. She served as president of the Philippine Software Industry Association and trustee of the IT and Business Processing Association of the Philippines. Nora has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World as an Innovator and Builder. Nora enjoys design thinking, the creative economy and social innovations. She is married and has two sons.

  • Ramon oversees operations and delivery for the provider call center and clinical teams. He has more than 25 years of senior management experience with expertise in the areas of business operations, customer relationship management, and P&L management obtained from major multinational organizations, such as Accenture, Dell, Prudential Life of UK and Allstate Life. Prior to joining Legato, Ramon was responsible for leading the overall United Healthcare business in the Philippines as the country head for business operations, providing direction to the call center and clinical solutions capabilities. He is married and is a proud parent to three children.

  • As procurement director, Andrew is responsible for vendor partnerships that help enable the success of Legato’s business. Andrew has experience in procurement function leadership, category management, negotiations, supplier development, systems deployment & change management. He gained this experience with reputable organizations like Bayantrade, Citibank and Accenture. He was the head of procurement of Accenture in the Philippines. He also served as a trustee of the Philippine Institute for Supply Management. Andrew is a strong believer in people empowerment and ensures to complement this empowerment with rewarding and engaging projects, performance coaching and professional training. On the weekends, Andrew is dedicated to family, spending quality time with his wife and three children.

  • Ed has over 16 years of experience in operations and has handled multiple verticals ranging from technology, telecommunications, retail and most recently, healthcare. The last 8 years of his career was with Accenture under the health tower managing UM Intake operations, care coordination, claims recovery, refund adjudication, provider appeals and correspondence. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Engineering from the Technological Institute of the Philippines. His driving force and primary source of motivation is his family. He is married and is a proud dad to a daughter and son.

  • Jim is a certified public accountant with over 20 years of solid work in the field. As finance director, he is responsible for the overall financial and operational performance of his team, while effectively managing costs and budgets and collaborating across teams to achieve the company's business goals. Jim started his career at SGV & Co. (Ernst & Young Philippines) as an auditor. He then moved to the Maersk Group where he eventually became country finance manager. Following Maersk, he was vice president for finance at Deutsche Bank, head of center support at Bayer, and most recently, finance director at Carlson. He recently tried golfing and found it interestingly enjoyable. Jim is happily married with two kids.

  • Marie has an extensive operational background gained from leadership roles in Wells Fargo as Site Head of Wholesale Banking and in JP Morgan as Vice President of Corporate and Investment Bank. She has also led businesses such as United Health Group, United Airlines, and Visa Payments in her previous roles. As strategic vendor director of Anthem, Marie leads partnerships within various lines of business across multiple sites, and is key to driving consistency in process, meeting performance measures, supporting issue resolution, and helping with communications and strategy. Marie values wellness just as she does excellence at work, pursuing yoga and boxing for exercise. She is also very active in community service, having volunteered under Habitat for Humanity, repainted schools, and helped build water towers in remote parts of the Philippines. She is also a volunteer pre-school teacher. On weekends, she treasures quality time with her husband and family.

  • Mitch leads, manages, and oversees the ethics, compliance, and privacy functions of the organization. His expertise is honed by his experience in risk management, compliance management, audit, information/IT security, and operations management gained from various industries. Prior to Legato, Mitch held senior roles in both local and global organizations such as Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), ICTSI, Wipro, QBE, Arvato Bertelsmann, and Shearwater Health. He was most recently affiliated with Sodexo handling dynamic roles in local, regional, and global functions. Mitch has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Ateneo de Davao University. He loves sports such as basketball and volleyball, and is always on the lookout for new adventures. Alongside his family, Mitch’s kids are his number 1 motivation to continuously improve and keep going. He is a proud and loving father to four kids.

Ronald Valdez, Manager Technology

Ronald joined Legato as one of its earliest hires – coming on board shortly after the country head and COO were in place. His role is critical in ensuring our newly hired call center and clinical associates have data and voice connectivity to systems and applications to serve our customers. Ronald is currently building his IT operations and infrastructure team, and we are excited to have him with us. He is married and is a proud parent to four children.
